Eric Fischl. Working through the primacy of the figure, Eric Fischl paints how we imagine and experience the body in modern life. Associated with the neo-expressionist movement of the 1980s, Fischl is a master of creating psychologically charged narratives that can be irreverent and sacred at once. In this exhibition of large-scale watercolours, Fischl's gestural brushstrokes and attention to qualities of light create expressions in the figure which can be read through the abstracted body.

Kathleen Weich: From There to Here. From There to Here is Kathleen Weich's latest solo show. In this show the artist transcribes her memories of landscape and still life into digital colour fields devoid of extraneous features. There are no trees, streams or bowls of fruit, yet if you stand in front of one of her paintings and let the pure colour and composition wash over you, you will begin to see through her eyes. Her bold colour sense and broad palette knife strokes evoke the spirit of the abstract expressionists; you feel her hand move across the canvas and if you allow yourself, you can witness her memories being distilled into bold bands of colour.
